Part 7 - More Bodywork!
"Since We’re Already This Far..." Lots of car guys can relate to that statement! We decided to replace the original wavy urethane front and rear bumper covers with some fiberglass bumpers from our donor Vette. The result was a lot of extra bodywork that we didn’t originally count on. However... we were this far and "since we’re here, lets do this..." Bubba the Bodyman apparently "fixed" the ’glass bumpers previously. We ground out a TON of body filler that didn’t need to be used, and from the amount we ground out, we figured that Bubba just kept pounding on the Bondo. Some guys just don’t belong near a car, period. We outfitted the hood with a Greenwood "C4R" style scoop, with the openings made functional. The reason for this modification was for the engine work we had planned. Once all the bodywork was finished, we sent our Corvette out for its new custom paint...
