Part 2 - The Power(less?)plant
Black Light’s engine is the venerable L98 Tuned Port Injection (TPI) displacing 350 cubic inches. Things were a mess underhood, and ss you can see, our work was cut out for us.
The first order of business was to evaluate and straighten out the mechanical end of things before doing any modification of the engine. The engine had a bad ticking coming from the valve cover area, and from the looks of things, it’s a good bet this engine has already been apart. Hopefully, things aren’t as bad inside as they are outside, but who knows what we’ll find? With one mess to contend with, it's time to take a look at the interior next ...
